Job description
Job Title: SEN Tutor
Salary:
£25 - £30 Per hour
Job Duties:
- Provide individualised support and tuition to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Develop and implement tailored learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
- Assist students in improving academic performance and achieving learning goals
- Monitor and track progress of students, providing feedback and guidance for improvement
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational development
Required Qualifications:
- Recognised qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching or relevant field
- Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service)
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Strong organisation and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching
- Experience in working with diverse student populations
Working Conditions:
The role involves working with students in educational settings, such as schools or learning centres. The working hours are part-time and may vary based on student requirements. The tutor may need to travel to different locations within Oxfordshire to provide support to students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
