SEN Tutor

Job Title: SEN Tutor

Salary: £25 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

• Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in various subjects
• Develop and implement individualised learning plans based on students' needs
• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to enhance students' understanding and progress
• Monitor and assess students' progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods accordingly
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with students with SEN
• Knowledge of SEN support strategies and interventions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in SEN education

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of SEN code of practise and legislation
• Ability to differentiate teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
• Strong classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs
• Training in specific SEN interventions such as Makaton or TEACCH

Working Conditions:

• Part-Time hours, typically evenings and weekends
• Work may involve travel to students' homes or educational institutions
• Collaborative work environment with parents, teachers, and support staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
