Job Title: SEN Tutor
Salary: £25 - £30 Per hour
Job Duties:
- Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in various subjects
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans based on students' needs
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to enhance students' understanding and progress
- Monitor and assess students' progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Knowledge of SEN support strategies and interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in SEN education
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN code of practise and legislation
- Ability to differentiate teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs
- Strong classroom management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs
- Training in specific SEN interventions such as Makaton or TEACCH
Working Conditions:
- Part-Time hours, typically evenings and weekends
- Work may involve travel to students' homes or educational institutions
- Collaborative work environment with parents, teachers, and support staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
