Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work with secondary-aged pupils in Plymouth. This role requires someone with experience supporting students with SEN and the ability to provide transportation using their own vehicle. Business insurance is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one and small group support to SEN students, fostering their academic and personal development.
  • Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Provide reliable transport for students to and from school or external activities using your own vehicle.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Monitor and document student progress, sharing insights with teaching staff and parents.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in a secondary school SEN setting.
  • Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
  • Business insurance for transporting students (mandatory).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to managing challenging behaviors.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
