Job Title: SEN Outreach Worker
Location: Plymouth and Surrounding Areas
Salary: £80 - £90 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary with Potential for Long-Term Placement

We partner with schools, alternative provisions, and families to deliver tailored support for students who need additional help outside of traditional classroom settings. Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Outreach Worker to provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN in Plymouth. This role focuses on helping students engage with their education in off-site or alternative learning environments, building confidence, and promoting personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with SEN students to deliver bespoke educational and emotional support plans.
- Support students in alternative provisions, community settings, or their homes.
- Develop strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage positive engagement.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and families to tailor support strategies.
- Assist in managing challenging behavior in a calm and constructive manner.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly those with SEMH, ASD, or complex needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to varied learning environments.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students with challenging behaviors.
- A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle (business insurance is required).
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
