SEN Teaching Assistant Roles – Primary & Secondary Schools
Teaching Personnel’s Wigan and Warrington branch is seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to work across primary and secondary schools in the local area. We have temporary and permanent opportunities available, offering flexibility to suit your preferences.

- Roles: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary & Secondary)
- Locations: Wigan, Warrington, and surrounding areas
- Pay Rates: £85–£110 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
- Contract Type: Temporary and permanent roles available
- Start Date: Immediate

Role Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and physical disabilities
- Assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning plans
- Providing one-on-one or small-group support to help students engage with their education
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Experience supporting children with SEN in an educational or care setting
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- A DBS certificate registered on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Enthusiasm for making a difference in the lives of young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
