About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Stretford. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with various learning difficulties and disabilities, ensuring they receive the assistance needed to thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, helping them engage with the curriculum.
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons that accommodate individual learning styles.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding their development.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation from all students.
- Collaborate with other staff members, including SEN coordinators and external professionals, to create effective support strategies.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social interactions among students.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- A relevant qualification in education or child development (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3) is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
