Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Maths Graduate to join one of our client secondary schools in Manchester. This position will be a full-time position, starting as soon as possible.
The highlights of this position are:
- Competitive pay- varying between £420 and £450 per week.
- Being supported by Teaching Personnel as well as the school that you will be placed in as you start your career in education.
- Gaining valuable experience, with the potential to be placed in a permanent teaching position by Teaching Personnel when you have become fully qualified.
For this position, it is essential that you are a recent Maths Graduate, based in Manchester, looking to start a career in education. You must be willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check and to provide at least two employment-based opportunities.
The key responsibilities of this position are:
- Assisting the teaching staff in their preparation and delivery of lessons.
- Working closely with small groups of pupils who are struggling with their Maths and need additional support.
- Helping to manage the behaviour of pupils to create a safe and productive learning environment.
- Ensuring that all safeguarding procedures are being followed correctly and that any situations that arise are dealt with in an appropriate manner.
This school is located in East Manchester and is easily commutable to from the surrounding areas of Gorton, Droylsden, Denton and Openshaw.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
