Job description

One of our partnership SEN schools in South Manchester are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team for the new academic year!

The school caters for children with a variety of complex additional needs with very small class sizes and individualized support.

In this role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Offer support and assistance in creating resources and engaging activities for children with Additional needs
  • Record and monitor children’s learning and development using PECs and other forms of assessment
  • Help to implement good routines into the classroom
  • And much more!

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with children with additional needs in a school/ care setting or through personal experience.
  • Experience working with Personal care and or moving and handling (desirable)
  • A kind and caring personality
  • Available full time
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service- this can be applied for through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
