SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
One of our partnership SEN schools in Stockport are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team!
In this role, you will be supporting secondary aged children with a variety of complex additional needs including Autism, cases of challenging behavior and sensory impairments.
In this role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support in preparation of resources and activities for exciting and engaging lessons
- Help to record children’s learning, progress, and development
- Build relationships with students and staff
- Motivate and inspire children’s learning and help them to reach their full potential
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children with complex needs in a school/care setting or through personal experience
- Experience working with personal care and or moving and handling (desirable)
- A kind and caring personality
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service- this can be applied for through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
