Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Skelmersdale

We are seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive specialist school in Skelmersdale, as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals from backgrounds such as care, youth work, or sports coaching who are looking to transition into the education sector.
The Role:
- Supporting students with additional needs, including autism, speech & language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges
- Assisting in classroom activities, ensuring an inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to help students reach their potential
- Working collaboratively with teachers and SEN professionals to implement learning strategies

- Enthusiasm, patience, and a commitment to making a difference
- Experience in SEN, care, support work, or similar is beneficial but not essential
- A proactive and resilient attitude towards supporting students with diverse needs
- The ability to build positive relationships with children and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
