SEN Teaching Assistant

About the Role
In this role, you’ll support students with a range of special educational needs, both in the classroom and through one-to-one sessions. You will help them achieve their personal and academic goals while ensuring they feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to children with special educational needs, both in group settings and one-on-one.

• Work with teachers to develop and implement effective learning strategies and individual education plans (IEPs).

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages and motivates each child.

• Assist with personal care and well-being needs where necessary.

• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers, ensuring each child’s needs are met.

• Support children’s emotional and social development, helping to build their confidence and self-esteem.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.

• A passion for supporting students with SEN and a commitment to making a difference.

• Patience and empathy, with the ability to understand and connect with children who have a variety of needs.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.

• Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to meeting the needs of the students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
