Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Rossendale

Pay: £12.90 - £13.50 p/h

Contract: Tuesday – Friday. 8:50am – 3:30pm.

Role: Supporting students aged 18-25years with additional needs.

The provision

The provision caters for pupils aged 18 – 25years with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities and who have an Educational Health Care Plan in place. The provision aims to  equip the pupils with the skills to be fully included in their own community. College can be a pathway to paid work, further study or meaningful volunteering.

Responsibilities

-          Provide one-on-one and small group support tailored to individual students' learning needs and abilities.

-           Help students with disabilities or additional needs access course materials and activities.

-          Encourage positive interactions between students to foster inclusivity.

-          Assist in teaching essential life skills, such as communication, time management, and self-advocacy.

-          Support students in learning how to use these tools effectively to improve their learning experiences.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
