Job description

School Transport Driver for SEN School.

Position: School Transport Driver.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM & 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
Location: Preston, PR5.
Pay: £12.90+ houly rate of pay.

We are looking for a dedicated individual to safely transport students to and from school during term time. This rewarding role is perfect for someone seeking part-time hours that fit around other commitments.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely drive a school transport vehicle on designated routes.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during transit.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance needs.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional attitude with children, parents, and school staff.

Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license with [appropriate category for the vehicle, e.g., D1].
  • A clean driving record and a commitment to safe driving practices.
  • Experience working with children (preferred but not essential).
  • A valid [DBS check or local equivalent background check] or willingness to obtain one.
  • Punctuality, reliability, and a friendly demeanor.
