Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant

A Specialist provision in the Burnley area is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on an ad-hoc basis. Therefore, you will be required to work as and when needed.

The provision caters for students with additional needs aged 11-16 including but not limited to profound and multiple learning disabilities, Autism, Speech Language and Communication Needs, ADHD and general learning disabilities.

Important information:

-          Secondary SEN provision.

-          Burnley.

-          £12.90 - £13.50 p/h.

-          Ad-hoc basis.

-          ASAP start.

You will need to:

-          Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum, adapting tasks, and using appropriate resources to meet their learning needs.

-          Help manage behaviour, support social interactions, and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

-          Track students’ academic and personal progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

-          Support with personal care needs, ensuring students' well-being and comfort throughout the day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
