Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of an Alternative Provision based in the Nottingham City area, who cater for both primary and secondary aged pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education. The students benefit from specialised, targeted education packages based on working towards their predicted GCSE grades. 

The provision has a fully operational science lab and a design and technology workshop, offering an engaging and modern workspace for the pupils. They also aim to reintegrate and support with the transition for primary pupils back into mainstream education.

The ideal candidates for this provision are:

  • Teaching Assistants with some experience planning and delivering work, as you may be required to support student on a 1:1 basis
  • Confident to manage challenging behaviour
  • A good working knowledge of Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties and this can impact on student behaviour
  • Confident to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Pro-active, versatile and adaptable to work with the different needs of each child
  • Able to work professionally with the staff team, ensuring a holistic and collaborative approach is offered at all times
  • Experienced working with Special Educational Needs, in particular with SEMH
  • Any additional experience in Care, Youth Work or Support Worker roles 

The provision are ideally looking for full time candidates however may accept applications from candidates looking for part time work as well.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
