SEN Learning Support Assistant Wanted – Newton Abbot

An award-winning SEN school in Newton Abbot is looking for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team and help students reach their full potential.

Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant
Location: Newton Abbot
Salary: £90 - £95 per day
Contract: Full-time, temporary to permanent
Start Date: ASAP

Role Overview:

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with a variety of SEN needs. Key duties will include:

  • Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and teaching staff.
  • Providing one-on-one and small group support to aid students’ learning and development.
  • Promoting inclusivity and ensuring that all students have equal access to education.
  • Working closely with school staff and external professionals to deliver effective SEN support.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting SEN students is highly preferred.
  • A compassionate, patient approach with the ability to build strong relationships with students.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
