Teaching Personnel is excited to offer multiple full-time opportunities for SEN Teaching Assistants at Orchard Manor School, starting in January 2024.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students across primary and secondary levels. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one and group support tailored to the individual needs of pupils with PMLD.
- Assisting in classroom activities, therapeutic sessions, and enrichment opportunities.
- Supporting students with personal care and mobility needs, ensuring dignity and independence.
- Working closely with teachers, support staff, and external specialists to deliver an engaging curriculum.
- Encouraging positive behaviors and fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking candidates who:
- Have experience working with children with SEN, particularly PMLD, or a strong desire to develop their skills in this area.
- Are empathetic, patient, and adaptable.
- Possess excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Are willing to assist with personal care and additional needs where required.
- Hold (or are willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check.
