Job description

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for opportunities in Greater Manchester, supporting primary aged students with special educational needs (SEN), to help children thrive in an inclusive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support to primary aged students with SEN.
  • Assist with delivering interventions that support individual learning plans
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning activities.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other staff to track and support student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role is highly desirable.
  • Suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking valuable SEN experience before starting their ECT year.
  • A passion for working with children with additional needs and a commitment to making a difference.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to a dynamic classroom setting.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
