A SEN school in Manchester are looking for two full time Teaching Assistants to work on their college campus with years 11-14. The students at this school have ASC or autism traits, and need different levels of support depending on how profound their learning difficulties are. You will be working with a mixture of students from each class and helping throughout the provision to create a stimulating learning environment for all of the students.

Some of the students within the school also do work experience placements, so you will be required to support in different settings other than a typical classroom.  

Due to the nature of this role, you should be comfortable with moving around the college and going off site with students so they have continued support for all activities.

For this role you should:

-          Have previous experience working with older students with ASC or other similar additional needs

-          Have a Team Teach qualification or experience with difficult behaviour

-          Be ok with occasionally assisting with personal care of students

-          Have previous experience working within a school, preferably an SEN school

-          Be available full time

The role will start in the new academic year and will have an option of continuing on to a permanent position.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
