A secondary SEN school in North Manchester are currently looking for full-time teaching assistants. The school works with KS3-KS5 students with complex learning needs that require additional support throughout the school day. The needs of each student are different, but the majority are related to ASC and autism traits.

Within the school, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to provide the best possible learning experience for each student. You will help to develop individual learning plans, and ensure that these are adhered to within the classroom and throughout the school day. You will also liaise with parents and carers to provide feedback on progress within the school and to gain valuable information to help you understand the needs of the students you work with.

For this role you should:

-          Have previous experience working within a care or school setting and attending to the different additional needs of those you are helping

-          Be able to de-escalate challenging situations and manage behaviour of students well

-          Be confident in your ability to change your approach based on the needs of each student

-          Be available full-time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
