Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Lymington

Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in the lives of students with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated, skilled, and compassionate individual to join our team and provide tailored support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with a variety of SEN, including autism, learning difficulties, and emotional/behavioral challenges.
- Assist in the development and delivery of personalised learning plans.
- Support students in accessing the curriculum, helping them to develop their independence and confidence.
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and track student progress, offering feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
- Assist in the implementation of behavioural strategies and support students with their social and emotional development.
- Help with classroom organisation, preparing materials, and supporting in other areas as required.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have proven experience working with children with a range of SEN, ideally in a school setting.
- Possess strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Be calm, patient, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
- Have a good understanding of various SEN strategies, interventions, and resources.
- Hold relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or other related qualifications) or have a wealth of practical experience in the SEN field.
- Be able to demonstrate initiative and work effectively within a team.
- Hold or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
