SEN Teaching Assistant – Start After February Half Term
Location: Lymington
Start Date: After February Half Term, Monday 24th
Contract Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at one of our partner schools in Lymington. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have special educational needs (SEN) and provide tailored support to ensure they have an inclusive and positive learning experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.
- Assist with the delivery of differentiated activities and learning materials.
- Support students’ emotional, social, and academic development.
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans.
- Help create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages all students to participate.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN.
- A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- A relevant qualification in education (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification, SEN qualification) is desirable.
- Experience with specific SEN conditions (e.g., Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia) is an advantage.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
