Salary: £89.38 – £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Start Date: 5th May 2025

We are currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in the Newport area. This role involves working with students aged 11–16, providing tailored support to those with a range of special educational needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Physical Disabilities, Complex Needs, Challenging Behaviour, and Speech & Language Difficulties.

✨ Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:
- Working closely with the class teacher and senior leadership team to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Offering 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
- Delivering and adapting pre-prepared learning programmes to meet individual needs.
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour within the classroom.
- Supporting the teacher with general classroom duties such as lesson preparation, creating engaging displays, and maintaining a tidy, organised workspace.
- Following school safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour management policies at all times.

Previous experience supporting children or young people with additional learning needs (desirable but not essential).

A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of children with SEN.
