Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant for EYFS
A primary school in Toxteth (L8) is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for EYFS to work one-to-one with a child with SEN.
Job Description
In this role, you will provide personalised support to a child with EAL and significant SEN requirements. The child is currently receiving support outside the classroom, and your role will involve familiarising yourself with existing support plans to ensure their smooth integration into the classroom.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, starting in April 2025, with working hours from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm. The successful candidate will work closely with the school’s SENCO to ensure the child receives the appropriate support. Strong communication with the child’s parents will also be essential. Competitive hourly pay of £12.90 is offered for this role.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with SEN pupils, particularly in managing challenging behaviours. A willingness to acquire new skills through the school’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme is highly desirable. Adaptability in providing one-to-one support to the child is crucial, along with an open-minded, supportive, and understanding attitude towards Special Educational Needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
