A special educational needs school in the Liverpool area is seeking a compassionate and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support primary school children. The school is committed to delivering high-quality education and care to students with special educational needs, ensuring each child achieves their best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with small groups of children who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Provide tailored support to meet each child's unique needs and abilities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized learning plans.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external specialists to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is desirable.
- Strong understanding of the challenges and needs of students with EHCPs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards overcoming challenges.
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development are preferred but not essential.

The ideal teaching assistant would be somebody who is resilient and can use their own initiative. They will be able to support the students and make them feel comfortable in their school environment to encourage them to achieve to the best of their ability.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
