About the Role: Teaching Personnel is delighted to be recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Liverpool, City Centre. This rewarding role involves supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to ensure they have equal access to education and are able to achieve their full potential. The pupils you will be supporting have additional needs such Autism and ADHD. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, tailored to their individual learning needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans and support strategies.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor and assess students’ progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support with classroom management and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
  • Help with personal care and mobility assistance where necessary.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals involved in the child's education and care.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in SEN education.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • A patient, caring, and empathetic nature.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the students and the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
