Behaviour Management Specialist – SEN Support in Reception & Year 1

Location: Horsham
Rate: £84 - £95 per day (dependent on experience)
Type: Full-Time, Long-Term (January 2025 Start)

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Management Specialist to work within a vibrant Horsham primary school, supporting children in Reception and Year 1.

Your Responsibilities

  • Implement and uphold the school’s behaviour management policies, ensuring consistency and fairness.
  • Work closely with children to address challenging behaviours in a supportive and constructive manner.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group mentorship to promote positive social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to create tailored behaviour improvement plans.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies to enhance the overall school environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Behaviour Management Specialist or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and their practical implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with children.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach to addressing challenging behaviour.
  • Familiarity with the UK educational system is advantageous.
