Job Duties:

• Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
• Assisting teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
• Providing one-to-one or small group support to SEN students during class time
• Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for SEN students

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs or equivalent in English and Mathematics
• Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or willingness to undergo training
• Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service)

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent in English and Mathematics

Experience:

Prior experience working with children or individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support SEN students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting student development

Preferred Qualifications:

• Higher level qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a similar setting

Working Conditions:

• Working hours are typically during school hours, Monday to Friday
• May involve some additional hours for planning and meetings
• Work is mainly classroom-based with opportunities for outdoor activities and field trips

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
