Job Duties:
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
- Assisting teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Providing one-to-one or small group support to SEN students during class time
- Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for SEN students
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs or equivalent in English and Mathematics
- Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or willingness to undergo training
- Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service)
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent in English and Mathematics
Experience:
Prior experience working with children or individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support SEN students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting student development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Higher level qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a similar setting
Working Conditions:
- Working hours are typically during school hours, Monday to Friday
- May involve some additional hours for planning and meetings
- Work is mainly classroom-based with opportunities for outdoor activities and field trips

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
