Full-Time KS2 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Callington Area
Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in Key Stage 2 (KS2)? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time KS2 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in the Callington area. This role is focused on providing tailored support to a pupil in KS2 with Special Educational Needs (SEN), with additional funding in place to ensure the right candidate can assist in their academic and personal development.
About the Position:
In this fulfilling role, you will be working closely with one student in Key Stage 2, providing 1:1 support to help them succeed in their learning and development. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 support to a child in KS2, helping them engage with the curriculum
- Assisting with academic progress by adapting lessons and tasks to meet their needs
- Supporting the child with emotional and social development, fostering independence
- Encouraging the child in social interactions and ensuring their overall well-being
This is an initially temporary position, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role for the right candidate.
Role Details:
- Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
- Start Date: ASAP
- Pay: Competitive rates, based on qualifications, experience, and references
What We’re Looking For:
- Desirable Qualifications: TA qualification, SEN training, or Early Years qualification preferred
- Experience: Prior experience working with children, particularly in Key Stage 2, and with SEN, is essential
- DBS Check: You must hold a DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or be willing to complete a new DBS check
- Eligibility: Applicants must reside in the UK and have the right to work
