Job Advert: 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Bridport
Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a real difference in their education? We are currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Bridport through a flexible and supportive supply agency. This role offers both part-time and long-term opportunities, with the option for day-to-day bookings or more extended placements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to a primary school pupil, tailoring your approach to their individual needs.
- Assist in the delivery of lessons and activities to ensure full participation and understanding.
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), encouraging their development and progress in line with their learning goals.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Work closely with the class teacher and other school staff to monitor and review progress.
Requirements:
- Experience working with SEN pupils is essential, as the role involves supporting children with additional needs.
- Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one (we can assist with this process).
- A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
- Flexibility and adaptability, as you may be required to work across different year groups and adapt to changing needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
