Job description

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as 1:1 Teaching Assistants for SEN pupils within a primary school in Weymouth.

Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEN)
Location: Weymouth, Primary School
Opportunities: Part-time & Full-time positions available
Salary: Weekly pay through the agency
Contract: Short-term & Long-term opportunities
Professional Development: Access to CPD courses and ongoing training

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to individual SEN pupils within a classroom environment.
  • Assist with classroom activities and ensure children are engaged and progressing.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to implement specific learning strategies and targets.
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive environment for students to thrive academically and socially.
  • Help with personal care or additional support where needed, depending on the child’s requirements.

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational or SEN setting.
  • A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting children with SEN.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A passion for making a positive difference in children’s lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
