Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Contract Type: Flexible (Part-Time and Full-Time Available)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role:
We are currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team in Bournemouth. In this role, you will support a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to access the curriculum and make progress in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
You will work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to create an environment where the child can thrive academically and socially, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support for a child with Special Educational Needs, adapting to their individual learning requirements
- Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the child remains engaged and supported
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support the child in their social, emotional, and physical development
- Monitor and track progress, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO
- Collaborate with other staff, parents, and external professionals when necessary
Key Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable, but not essential
- A patient, compassionate, and understanding approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable, but not essential
- A positive attitude and commitment to supporting children with additional needs
- A flexible, can-do attitude to adapt to the changing needs of the child

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
