A specialist support school in Bournemouth is looking for SEN teaching assistants. The students there are aged 3-18 and have moderate to severe learning difficulties, so it not essential for applicants to have previous experience in this.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide additional support to teachers in classrooms to allow a safe and supportive learning environment
- Working with students on an adapted curriculum to help them achieve the best results they can
- Providing feedback to teachers and parents on progress each day
- Understand the individual plan for each student and adapt how you work to this
Skills and experience desired:
- Excellent communication
- Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures
- An enhanced DBS on the update system (Teaching Personnel can help with the application process for this if you don’t already have it)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
