SEN Teaching Assistants required in Bournemouth!

Teaching Personnel are working with a client school in Bournemouth, seeking Teaching Assistants to join their team. The school is an SEN School catering for pupils from Early Years/EYFS through to College. The school caters for a range of SEN needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and complex needs. Some pupils have additional sensory or physical impairments, speech and language disorders or medical needs, others are on the autistic spectrum.
Your role will involve working within the class to support the class teacher with their lessons. You will be working alongside a team of support staff in class and may also be required to work on a 1-1 basis. We have positions available in each age range (primary, secondary and college) so you will be matched to a class based on your experience and/or suitability.
This is a full time role, starting immediately. This is a temporary position but there is the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.
To be successful in this role you should:
- have experience working within a school setting
- have experience working with children and/or adults with learning difficulties
- be resilient and confident working with challenging behaviour
- have a good understanding of Special Educational Needs, or a willingness to learn
- be nurturing and enthusiastic
Teaching Personnel offer an extensive CPD Academy with a range of online and in person training courses, including Team Teach and Autism Awareness.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
