SEN Teacher

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, tailored lessons to students with special educational needs, ensuring they receive the support necessary to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. They will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of students.
• Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic support.
• Create a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) reviews.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism, ADHD, or complex learning needs.
• Strong knowledge of SEN teaching strategies and differentiation.
• Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
