Job description

A highly reputable and award-winning SEN school group is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant / Support Worker to join the permanent team at their Reading site. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, and complex learning difficulties.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual learning plans, ensuring students receive the best possible care and education.
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
  • Support classroom activities and work closely with teachers and therapists.
  • Encourage independence and social development.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential).
  • A compassionate, patient, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
