SEN Teacher
Job description
Are you looking for a new teaching role in January working with pupils with additional needs?
Teaching Personnel are currently working with secondary SEN schools across Northampton to recruit full time teachers for new positions in January. The pupils within this school have varying complexities of additional needs and require specialist support within their education. Within these roles, you will be responsible for leading small classes of students and tailoring your support to their individual needs. Each role and school will vary, creating a consistently interesting and changing role.
For these roles you must:
- Be a fully qualified teacher
- Have experience working with students with complex additional needs within an education role, or have experience with complex needs in another role where skills are transferrable to these specialist roles
- Be comfortable adapting your teaching to different needs of students
- Have experience working with challenging behaviour and have good de-escalation skills
- Be comfortable and confident leading a team of teaching assistants
- Be able to provide meaningful feedback to other staff and parents surrounding the progress of students
- Be available full time in January
