Job description

Are you passionate about teaching students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

A secondary SEN school in Manchester are currently looking for new teachers to take on full-time positions working with students with complex additional needs. The schools we work with are committed to providing nurturing and inclusive environments where students can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

For this role you will:

-          Plan and deliver engaging and individualised lessons to meet the needs of the students within your class.

-          Collaborate with the school’s SENCO and other teachers to develop individualised learning plans for each student.

-          Implement appropriate teaching strategies and accommodations to support students in accessing the curriculum.

-          Monitor and track students’ progress and provide regular feedback of this to staff and parents.

-          Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment.

-          Use a range of assessment tools to evaluate progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.

Requirements for this role:

-          QTS and relevant teaching experience within a secondary school setting.

-          A deep understanding of different SEN needs, learning styles and strategies to help meet the diverse needs of the students.

-          Excellent communication skills

-          Strong classroom management skills and a nurturing approach

-          A commitment to continuous professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
