SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you a nurturing and supportive individual?
Do you have experience working with children and young people?
An exciting opportunity has recently arisen for a confident SEND TA in a school in South Sheffield! The successful candidate will be working with a number of students with various physical, academic and pastoral needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the Class Teacher, Senior Leadership, and the SENCO to identify pupils’ developmental and learning goals.
Responsibilities:
- Adapting existing lesson resources to meet the needs of students with diverse needs
- Managing behaviour through provision of clear expectations and mutual respect
- Maintaining classroom engagement by building positive relationships with students
- Communicating with the Class Teacher, Senior Leadership and SENCO
Requirements:
- In order to be considered for the role, you must have:
- Level 2+ TA or Degree in Education/Social Sciences
- Experience with children or young people
Knowledge of SEND and developmental conditions such as Autism, ADHD

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
