Job description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Youth Mentors to support primary school pupils on a 1:1 basis across schools in Blackburn & Accrington. This is a rewarding role that offers flexible hours, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. Long-term placements are also on offer.

Position Details:

  • Location: Primary schools across Blackburn & Accrington
  • Type: Full-time and part-time roles available
  • Role: 1:1 support for pupils with SEN
  • Start Date: Immediate availability

As a Youth Mentor, you will provide essential support to children with SEN, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their learning goals. Your role will involve working closely with the pupil, assisting with daily activities, and providing tailored support in the classroom.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children in other settings is essential (classroom experience not required)
  • A passion for supporting children with SEN and helping them succeed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting pupils
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
