SEN Support Assistant - Flexible

A small SEN School based in Preston are looking for a passionate support assistant to join them! They are interested in educators that are available full-time and also part-time for day to day sickness cover. The school caters for children aged 2-11 with a wide rang of additional needs, mainly Autism. The school have a team who are extremely dedicated and recognise the potential in every child, celebrating successes and offering both engaging learning activities and environments.

About you:

- Experience supporting children or adults, not necesarily in an educational setting.
- Experience as a health care assistant or support worker.
- Confidence supporting children with special educational needs.
- Confidence providing personal care.
 
Key Duties:

- Providing academic support to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
- Quickly build positive relationships with students.
- Support pupils with engagement and encourage pupils to be involved.
- Support the general class teacher. 
- Participate in the delivering of learning activities. 
- Promote pupils' cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural and physical development through the curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
