Do you have previous experience as a play worker and looking for a new challenge? Are you passionate about working with students with additional needs?

Teaching Personnel are looking for Learning Support Assistants who have previous experience as play workers or similar.

Job Summary: As a Learning Support Worker at our school, your job is to help children have fun and learn through play. You will work with kids who need extra help because they have special needs. Your role is essential in making sure they feel safe and happy while they play and learn new things.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make learning fun and enjoyable.
  • Help students develop their socials skills.
  • Make sure the play area is clean and safe for the children to use.
  • Work with teachers to include play-based learning in the school day.
  • Watch how the kids play and write down their progress and behaviour.
  • Give lots of encouragement and support to help kids feel good about themselves.

Requirements:

  • It would be great if you have experience working with children who have special needs.
  • We want someone who really likes kids and wants to make a positive difference in their lives.
  • You should be patient, kind, and able to understand how the children feel.
  • It's important to be good at talking and listening to others.
  • We like people who can think of fun and creative play ideas.
  • You need to be flexible and able to adjust to changes.
  • We will make sure you know how to keep the kids safe and happy.

Working Hours: 8:30am – 3:30 PM

Salary: You will be paid a fair salary based on your experience and skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
