Job Title: English Teacher (SEN) – Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available

Location: Poole, Dorset

Start Date: January 2025

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join our team, starting in Janaury 2025. This role offers both full-time and part-time options, allowing for flexibility. As a Maths Teacher in this SEN school, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and accessible Maths lessons to students with Autism and SEMH, helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons tailored to the needs of students with Autism and SEMH.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and development.
  • Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of students, ensuring individual education plans (IEPs) are met.
  • Collaborate with the wider school team, including SEN specialists, teaching assistants, and parents, to support student progress.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students and manage classroom behavior effectively.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching English, preferably within an SEN or alternative provision setting.
  • A strong understanding of Autism and SEMH and how these impact learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and a passion for working with students with special educational needs.
