About the Role: We are currently seeking a full-time SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Dawlish. This school, which has an outstanding residential provision, caters for over 200 students aged 3-19. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping these young learners reach their full potential both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with communication and interaction difficulties, autism, and other learning needs
- Assist teachers in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Build positive relationships with students to encourage their confidence and independence
- Help to implement individual learning plans and deliver one-on-one or group support
- Support students in developing social and life skills within both classroom and residential settings
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience or a passion for working with children or young people with SEN
- Be patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting the needs of all students
- Be able to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues alike

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
