Job description

SEN Classroom Supervisor

Support, Structure and a Real Sense of Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time SEN Classroom Supervisor to join a specialist educational setting in St Leonards. This role offers the chance to support children and young people aged 8 to 16 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs in an environment that truly understands the importance of care, consistency and therapeutic support.

Set within a wider care group known for its person-centred and trauma-informed approach, this school creates a safe and structured space where learners can develop emotionally, socially and academically. The team is passionate about helping each pupil build confidence, resilience and a sense of belonging. The curriculum is tailored to individual needs and delivered in a way that supports both personal development and educational progress.

A Role That Makes a Difference Every Day

As a Classroom Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining a stable and positive learning environment. You will step in during staff absences to lead sessions, support classroom routines, and engage students in learning activities designed to encourage participation, communication and emotional regulation. Every day brings a new opportunity to build trusting relationships and to contribute to the holistic development of each learner.
