Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to work within one of our partnership schools as a Cover Supervisor in Bournemouth. This role offers the opportunity to deliver pre-prepared lessons and create a positive learning environment for students, stepping in to support schools in the absence of regular teachers. It’s an ideal role for those passionate about education and working with young people.
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll work across various subjects and year groups, requiring flexibility and adaptability. Alongside delivering lessons, you’ll help maintain classroom discipline, engage students, and ensure they remain focused on their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of teachers.
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure students remain on task.
- Promote positive behaviour and provide support to students as needed.
- Foster an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment.
- Support the implementation of individual education plans for students with special needs.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to maintain learning continuity.
- Accurately record attendance and behaviour.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to engage and inspire students.
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of special educational needs and strategies to support diverse learners.
- Flexibility to adapt to different classrooms and subjects.
- A positive and proactive attitude toward supporting student development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
