SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Croydon, Greater London & Surrounding Areas
Start Date: Easter 2025
Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)

We are currently seeking passionate and committed SEMH Teaching Assistants to support students in Croydon and surrounding areas. If you have the dedication to make a real impact on young learners’ lives, we would love to hear from you.

Your Role:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support diverse learning needs.
  • Monitor student progress and provide valuable feedback to the teaching team.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH or SEN.
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in Special Education or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to student support.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-based environment.
  • Right to work in the UK and an Enhanced Child-Only DBS (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
