Our client school in Croydon is seeking dedicated and passionate Male SEMH Teaching Assistants to support learners aged 14-19 who can display challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEMH or SEN.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in Special Education or a related field (desirable).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
• Ability to adapt to different learning environments and work collaboratively within a team.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced child-only DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
