About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to students in small groups or one-to-one sessions.
• Assist with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Support students with additional needs, including SEN and EAL learners.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to ensure every student thrives.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience working with young people (education-based or in other settings such as sports coaching, youth work, etc.).
• Be patient, empathetic, and committed to helping students succeed.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Be adaptable and ready to work in a dynamic school environment.
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one with Teaching Personnel’s support).

A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
