Job Title: Secondary Teaching Assistant with English Specialism
Location: England, Greater London, Streatham
Salary: £85 - £100 Per day
Job Duties:
- Supporting the English department in delivering high-quality lessons
- Assisting students with their understanding of English language and literature
- Providing one-to-one support for students who may require additional help
- Helping to create engaging and educational resources for English lessons
- Assisting the teacher in classroom management and student supervision
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of GCSEs in English Language and Literature
- Previous experience working in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for education and helping students succeed
Education:
A Levels or equivalent in relevant subjects
Experience:
Experience working with secondary school students
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of the English language and literature
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Strong organisational skills
- Patience and empathy when working with students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience working with special educational needs students
Working Conditions:
This role involves working in a secondary school environment, supporting the English department. The working hours are typically school hours, Monday to Friday. The role may require some flexibility in terms of additional support during exam periods or school events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
